The hotel offers a convenient and quiet retreat, walking distance to major attractions, and is family-friendly with nice amenities. The two pools are a great feature, but the rooms could use some renovations and a deeper cleaning in certain areas. Overall, it's a good stay for those looking for quality at a reasonable price.

Our room was comfortable and clean, but it felt a bit dated and could benefit from some updates. We noticed dust in the laundry sink, which made us feel it wasn't as clean as it should have been.
Service

The staff was very helpful, offering advice on excursions and allowing us to use the pool while waiting for our transfer. However, they weren't very accommodating regarding our baby’s needs when we requested a room on a lower level.

We had a lovely time at Bay Villas Resort, enjoying the spacious and comfortable two-bedroom apartment that overlooked the pool. The location couldn't be better, just a short stroll to both the beach and the main street. The shower was surprisingly good, which is something I usually don’t find in hotels. However, the rooms could benefit from some updating as they felt a bit tired, and we did have some noise from younger guests in the pool area. Overall, it offers good value for families looking for convenience and comfort.

I had a delightful stay at Bay Villas Resort, enjoying a clean and comfortable two-bedroom apartment that overlooked the pool. The location was superb, just a short walk from Macrossan Street and Four Mile Beach, though the lighting on the walk back at night could use improvement. The communal areas and the pool facilities were well-maintained. While the apartment was slightly dated in places, it was still very cozy and functional for our family. I really appreciated being able to self-cater thanks to the nearby grocery store, which added great value to our stay.

Rooms

The apartment was spacious and clean, although a bit tired in certain spots. It overlooked the inviting pool area, which was lit up at night.
Service

The reception was incredibly helpful, especially with local tips and booking tours, although some staff seemed a bit reluctant to assist at times.
Location

We enjoyed some delicious meals at local restaurants, adding to the overall experience, but we mostly catered for ourselves in the well-equipped kitchen.

My stay was absolutely wonderful! The facilities were pristine and the pool area was a highlight, perfect for family barbecues and relaxing. The location was unbeatable, walking distance to everything we needed. However, I found the service a bit lacking when it came to flexibility regarding room arrangements, especially traveling with a baby. Overall, a great value for money for an enjoyable family holiday!

Rooms

We had a spacious ground floor unit that was very convenient for our family, with easy access to the pool and BBQ area. It was clean and comfortable but could use more storage space.
Service

While most staff were friendly and helpful, we encountered some rigidity regarding our request to change to a lower level room for easier access with a pram.
Location

The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the beach, shops, and the main street. We loved that we could easily explore everything in Port Douglas on foot.
Dining

We enjoyed using the communal BBQ facilities, which were great for cooking up fresh seafood at night, but there weren't many dining options directly on-site.
Facilities

The facilities were excellent with two pools—one heated—and nice BBQ areas, all well-maintained. It was perfect for our family gatherings.

The hotel has a great location just a short walk from the town, and the staff were very accommodating in helping us switch rooms for a better view. The swimming pool was a highlight with its comfortable temperature, but the rooms felt a bit outdated and lacking in privacy. While there are some nice amenities and it's easy to get around, the overall experience didn't quite meet the 'resort' expectations.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were spacious but a bit dated and lacked soundproofing. We enjoyed the nice balcony overlooking the pool, although some units felt dark and private.
Service
8.0
The staff were helpful and friendly, providing assistance when we needed to change rooms and offering suggestions for local activities.
Location

The location was convenient, with a simple 10-minute walk into town and easy access to local attractions.
Dining
Facilities

The pool area was well-maintained and pleasant, but the overall facilities, including other pools, seemed less impressive than advertised.
